  3. The only difference between the LT1 exhaust ports and standard small block Chevy ports is the LT1 ports are .100 higher & have a D shaped port. Get headers that fit your chassis, with a regular small block Chevy and you will be good. I used headers made for the Monte on the LT1 when I had it in the car. No problems

Re: 1967 Chevelle LT Swap I did a LT1 swap into my 67 El Camino, replacing a regular small block. It did pretty much bolt in using the mounts, transmission, radiator and headers I had. Wiring and fuel system took a bit more work, but not too hard. I used a Painless Wiring harness as I didn't get any wiring with the engine Now, take that same swap and add the car intake/ rails/ injectors and use an aftermarket harness which is already done, wires in with only a few connections and looks much nicer.
